Music

Music at Frances Willard

In the music room, it is our belief that every student should feel empowered to participate in the music-making process in a safe and nurturing environment.  This means that each student should feel able to develop their skills in a variety of areas.  Students will compose, listen, sing, play instruments, undersand, evaluate, improvise, and arrange.  We have the confidence to play and sing by ourselves and the compassion to listen and work as an ensemble when we making music with others.  We are constantly stretching ourselves to understand more and become better musicians.  And all the while we are having a ton of fun!
